Counselling
There are many reasons you may be considering counselling, and it can sometimes be difficult to be sure what it is you would like to talk about; you just know something doesn’t feel ok. Counselling is designed to help you navigate the challenges of life, promote self-awareness and personal growth. Working together, we will explore your feelings and emotions and work towards building your resilience and coping strategies.
I offer 1-1 counselling sessions, both face-to-face and online, for adults and young people 11 years upwards.
Trained as an integrative counsellor and work in a relational way, so I can tailor our sessions to suit your needs.
My approach is person-centred and trauma-informed. I draw on humanistic theory and transactional analysis.
I am an accredited member of the NCPS and on the Children and Young People’s accredited register.
I have a full, enhanced DBS, and I am insured and registered with the ICO.
I have experience working with adults in private practice, and in schools working with young people for a children’s charity. As clinical lead for the charity, I am continually updating my knowledge, keeping up to date with current research in best practice. Below are some of the issues people bring to counselling, although the list is not exhaustive:
Bereavement
Bullying
Conflict
Family Issues
Family Breakdown
Abuse
Affairs
Anger
Anxiety
If you wish to arrange a telephone call to help determine whether working together would be a good fit for you, I would be pleased to offer a free 15 minute consultation prior to the first session.
