Counsellor Supervision is a service offered

I offer supervision for individual counsellors, professionals, and small groups. I am experienced working with qualified and trainee counsellors and have a Diploma in Integrative Supervision from the Grove Practice in London. I offer supervision for teachers, social workers, and those who work with complex and challenging issues. I have experience working with children and young people as young as 6 years, as well as adults. As clinical lead for a children’s charity, I have level 3 safeguarding training and have attended pre-trial therapy training in line with the CPS guidance 2022.

Your supervision will be tailored to suit your needs and will be a safe space to share, discuss and reflect on your practice. As your supervisor, I will help you work safely and ethically within your professional ethical guidelines, with safeguarding in mind. I am an accredited member of the NCPS and am familiar with Scoped and the CYP framework. I am also on the Children and Young People’s accredited register.

I will support you to continue your learning through continuing professional development (CPD) and to enhance your competence to deliver excellent support to your clients.

During supervision, we will be mindful of you and the effect your client work has on you. We will also draw on the current socio-economic climate and how that affects the way we live our lives and the pressures it brings on ourselves and our clients.

If you wish to arrange a telephone call to help determine whether working together would be a good fit for you, I would be pleased to offer a free 15 minute consultation prior to the first session.

How much does clinical supervision cost?

FAQs

Why do I need supervision?

Clinical supervision is a requirement for many of us who work with vulnerable people. It allows us to reflect on our client work and to maintain the highest ethical standards. Supervision explores not only the client work, but your response to it, to ensure the safety of both yourself and your clients.

What do I do if I need support in between supervision sessions?

If you have a concern about safeguarding with your client, contact me and I will respond within 24 hours. To make a note about what you would like to speak about in our next meeting, you are welcome to send me a message and we will pick it up in our session.

How much supervision do I need?

The requirements for clinical supervision differ depending on which professional membership body you belong to. All qualified counsellors should have 1.5 hours of supervision each month. If you’re a trainee counsellor, you will need one hour of supervision for every eight hours of client work.
